Consistent axes. Every chart shares the same 1980–2023 span so series are directly comparable; gaps are years with no measurement (not zero).
Data sources. Satellite indicators from Google Earth Engine (GPM, TerraClimate, Sentinel-2, JRC/DEA surface water, MODIS fire); regional waterbird counts from the UNSW Eastern Australian Waterbird Survey and the Murray-Darling Targeted Survey.
